Wedding dress dilemma?

Hi! So I ordered my dress in March and it's not going to be ready until Christmas time! I LOVE it but another dress caught my eye. My first dress was 5900 but the other dress that caught my eye is almost double the amount. Should I even entertain the idea of this other dress? No store in my state...
Hi! So I ordered my dress in March and it's not going to be ready until Christmas time! I LOVE it but another dress caught my eye. My first dress was 5900 but the other dress that caught my eye is almost double the amount. Should I even entertain the idea of this other dress? No store in my state carries this designer, but I am going to California next week and plenty of bridal boutiques do have it. Should I bother trying it on or am I just tormenting myself?? I can't justify wearing both since they are a little similar.. I don't want to post a picture of the dress I already purchased, but I'll post a picture of the one I'm eyeing. I guess I'm just wondering how other brides deal with this feeling!! Of falling in love with two dresses after you already bought one!

Thank you so much!! I'm pretty excited about the white because the crystals and beads will be silver instead of rose gold like the sample! The intricate crystals are what sold me on the dress.

Yes!! I'm counting down the days till I get the call saying it's finished! I do remember going back to see the dress a second time before purchasing it, and putting it on again gave me the feeling of "this is my dress" so hopefully I'll get the same feeling again in a few months!

Holy moly your original dress is stunning. Show stopper, seriously.

I think I will be personally offended if you choose another one Smiley tongue

I would wait to try it on again, hopefully that will remind you why you fell in love with it in the first place!

LOL!!! Ahhh thank you thank you!! I think I'm second guessing myself because the only people that saw me try it on was my mom auntie and cousin 😂 but thank you for the reassurance!!

Im not a big fan of the new dress you’re eyeing at all...it looks only half finished to me. And uncomfortable.
I Imagine that you’re probably just getting jittery because of the wait— I’ve gone through that. Then I tracked down pics of real brides in
my dress and I fell in love over (and over!)

i also think it’s important not to put too much stock in a dress you haven’t tried on, it’s amazing how different some can look from the hanger to the body. I saw dresses I thought I’d love, similar to ones I’d tried and liked, and still hated them on!

Keep in mind that resale value of a dress, even never worn, with tags, will always be significantly less than what you paid, so you have to be prepared to absorb the cost of the original dress . The cost of the new dress PLUS the old dress would make me not want to consider it.

still, if you’re totally obsessing over it, consider if that will ever go away. If you’re not confident you’ll forget all about it once you put your already purchased dress on , I would say that you shouldn’t put yourself in a situation where you’ll be plagued by what ifs your whole wedding day. Dress regret is real! But so is dress-I-haven’t-seen-it-in-so-long-I-totally-forget-how-magical-it-felt-but-as-soon-as-I-put-it-back-on-I-fall-in-love-all-over-again.

is there any way you can get back into a sample of the dress you have ordered, just to remember how it feels?

Ahhh, you make so many good points!! I do agree that the dress I'm eyeing does look like it would be a bit uncomfortable haha. And! I never thought about going back to to store to try it on again! You don't think they'll think I'm a little crazy for making an app to put it on again? Haha.

Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I've been second guessing myself thinking my guests will be underwhelmed by it! Or that it doesn't really look like a bridal dress 😂

Stick with your dress... no need to spend that amount of money on another dress. That could be used else where. Also, it takes a long time for dresses to be made. My dress took 11 months. I had forgot what it looked like but I loved it more once it came in!

I guess I just want to be sure my wedding dress looks like a wedding dress and not a prom dress !!
