Wedding dress buyers remorse

Brittany , on October 29, 2017 at 8:37 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Help! I bought a wedding dress about a month ago it was my first time trying on dresses. I tried on this dress and it was everything I thought I wanted. It was just like the dresses I pinned on Pinterest so I felt it had to be the dress for me. Long story short I bought a dress I'm not in love with and I need to sell it. What are my options??

Just about every bride has some buyers remorse here and there. I know I did. Time will pass and you may fall in love with it again.

Is it possible to trade it in where your purchased it from?

Did you buy it off the rack, or is it ordered and you're waiting for it to come in?

I bought it off the rack so it's final sale and it already came in.

Preownedweddingdresses.com.. that's where I bought my dream dress, totally out of budget for me brand new. I spruced it up and it's a total princess ballgown stunner. Sell your dress there! I had an amazing experience with them Smiley smile

Or, get to the bottom of why you regret your choice. Did someone pressure you to get this dress? Did you settle just to get a dress and be done? Or, did you love it at the time? Sometimes dress regret is simply that we forget how awesome the dress is after we leave the salon.

I don't understand buyer's remorse. I've only ever experienced in in shoes. If you loved it in the store--why don't you love it now? I don't think it's normal to regret your dress purchase. I adored my dress the day I bought it and loved it on my wedding day. Buyer's remorse=regret. Please don't regret your dress. (remember it is just a dress, but is it worth investing a shit ton more money into a dress you will wear for one day? My wedding was an awesome day--but I would've been happy wearing a potato sack.) ) just depends on what's important to you. I guess to me--the dress was not the most important.

I'm sure you look stunning in it. You deserve to feel amazing in your dress--but dont regret it just yet. Perhaps the euphoria of picking a dress is wearing off? I agree with Magarita, sometimes you do forget how awesome the dress is after you leave the salon. Chin up girl.

Sometimes, all you need is alterations to be completed before falling back in love with the dress.

I have worked as a gown consultant in bridal shop. I am also a wedding planner and aesthetician. I've told many brides that it is difficult for them to picture themselves in it with any alterations, hair and makeup done, accessories, everything to make them feel bridal. If you're still feeling unhappy with it, I've seen people sell their dresses anywhere from Craigslist, offerup(locally), eBay, and to preowned wedding dresses
