Hey ladies! When you went wedding dress shopping, did the sales associates try to pressure you into a purchase? Secondly, are you guys having a groom's cake at your wedding? Thank you!

No pressure but the shop I was at was not overly helpful with answering questions which is why I didn't pull the trigger.

I wasn't pressured at either of the 2 dress shops I went to but David's bridal was a let down for me due to the woman really not being able to match anything I had envisioned. Not totally her fault, but just didn't feel like "taken care of" in the way you want to be when trying to find THE dress. The second place I went was fabulous and I was able to take my time, and the lady there was really understanding and patient and really understood when I gave feed back and was able to match what I was wanting for myself. I've been hoarding my dress pics from when I picked THE dress but due to your post... I believe I'm finally ready to share it. So thank you for that.

And I don't think we will be doing a groom's cake bc we are leaning towards cheesecake bites for our wedding cake bc that is our favorite, and FH is kind of the reason I decided to go that route bc I know how much he likes it. So that will be for everyone but it directly pleases him so I think we're satisfied with that Smiley smile

I had a wonderful sales associate. She didn't pressure me in any way. She told me herself " if it's THE dress you will not stop thinking about it" and I could always come back. Well, I couldn't stop thinking about the dress went back and bought it. It Was my dress

No, most shops were amazing... Except David's bridal. I had a bad experience there PLUS they tried to sell me on a dress i said was the least ugly... never again, DB

I tried on probably 30 dresses. No one pressured me into buying one at any point. I did eventually find my dress though.

No groom's cake here. I asked FH if he wanted one and he asked what a groom's cake was. He said no for sure.

FH doesn't want a groom's cake. In fact he never heard of it. I'm still going to do one for the rehersal. At my first shop my girl, Taylor, was fantastic. No pressure at all. Very relaxed (thats where i found the dress). Everything she pulled was gorgeous. My second shop was horrible. The girl was no help. Every dress I had on she said was the one & I should get it. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

I went to 5 different stores and none of the sales consultants pressured me about anything which was nice. We're not doing a groom's cake, but I've seen some really cool designs for them!
