I went to get my dress fitted today. Well, the seamstress says it's a reconstruct. I'm devastated. I'm also pissed at the store that sold it to me. It's an "off the rack" bridal shop. I went by myself, apparently I should've brought a friend. The dress is a size 20. I'm normally a 12. Is this normal size gap for them to sell a dress? I liked it but, I feel like they made it seem like it's normal to get that much in alterations. What is the size difference ladies are getting? Also, how much do most spend in alterations? This bridal shop told me most alterations cost around $1200. That sounds wayyyyy excessive.
