We have our venue (which includes a wedding coordinating team and day of wedding planner), photographer, videographer, and our DJ booked! I’m currently in nursing school, so wedding planning is on the back burner for now!
We are going for 10-17-2020 and looking for a venue to book at moment! I wanted 10-10-20 originally because the date is so great, but it conflicted with my sister and the groom's mother's schedule so the 17th it is in Kansas City. Where are people thinking about honeymoons for this time of year?
Congrats everyone! Loving the wedding vibes! This app is so cool! Never thought of ever joining one, but glad to be able to access and read about others' experiences.
We are having a backyard wedding. We are attempting to budget as much as possible, so we opted on having a backyard wedding, and marrying at my University's Chapel seemed like the perfect fit for us. We have signed contracts with a Mariachi who will be playing during the ceremony and part of the reception as well as signed contracts with a local young and energetic DJ. We will be having a family friend bake our cake and having an acquaintance make our food. My hubby to be has volunteered to build farm tables from leftover wood and we'll be renting tables and some round tables. We're strongly considering using fake flowers from the flea market, and Costco flowers in bulk to save in the floral department as well as going with a florist for some things like the main table. We have established contact with the church and will be participating in our retreat May 23-24. In addition, we will be renting tables, linens etc. We're still debating on our color scheme, but we have purchased our wedding rings. I have been debating whether to go dress shopping now or save it for later. Any thoughts? Also, who should go with me is important. What are key things I should ask when trying on dresses? Thankfully I have a wonderful hubby to be and his family who have been so supportive with the process. Many blessings to everyone and can't wait to read your responses! Happy planning! 😘😘
