Wedding day regrets

Delray, on September 27, 2019 at 5:52 AM Posted in Married Life 0 6
Let me start by saying our day was beautiful. Amazing . Romantic.. nothing really went wrong. We danced and drank and laughed and had an amazing night! However the morning of is not what I had pictured.. I thought me and my girls would all get ready together (which we did) and we had fun hanging out. I popped a bottle of champagne and made mimosas.(before everyone was fully ready) I thought we would have a cute toast moment and get some fun photos.. while I know my photographer got some candids, I didn't have that fun moment that I wanted. I got whisked away being asked about something else.. then everyone was starting to get dressed, I was getting dressed. And we realized our flowers were over 45 minutes late... My hubby was getting ready in the same house, so I was on the back porch hiding while he went out side. During this time I was frantically calling my florist as we were starting first look in 20 minutes. I have no idea where my bridesmaids were at this time. Getting dressed maybe? I so wish we would have had 5 minutes to just sit together before everything happened and have that moment, but it just didn't. Everything was so frantic that last 45 minutes. That my biggest regret, that I didn't have more of those fun cutesy moments with my girls getting ready. I know it's not a huge deal, but for some reason I just can't get over it.. if that's the only regret I know it's hard to complain, but it's just not what I was hoping for and that's hard for me. Im hoping that venting it out here will be able to help..

I’m sorry. It seems we always have one thing that doesn’t go the way we imagine. And it sucks!

Try to shift the focus onto the cute candies you do have and as you look at the pix, recall the energy and excitement of that split second in time. Maybe that’ll help?

    And CONGRATULATIONS on being married!!
( and that being kinky “bad thing”!)

I felt the same way. I got all my maids and flower girl matching robes and wanted to get the pictures of us in them and while getting ready. However, one of my bridesmaids showed up really late and her daughter was the flower girl so we never got any pictures of us in the robes. By the time she got there, the hair dresser had to rush and do her hair and before we knew it we only had time for a few quick shots of all of us already dressed. I was a bit upset but the rest of pictures were truly amazing so I'm not totally upset. I'm sure you will have tons of other pictures that you love.

I think that’s totally normal! I wasn’t able to actually relax and enjoy, I kept being worried about the photographer getting good shots and everyone enjoying themselves. And my grandfather made the DJ cry. And I was so exhausted from the whole weekend of family that I know I got crabby at points during the wedding. It can’t live up to all of that planning and those expectations. It happens! You’re not alone!! Important thing is that you got married to someone you love.
