Ladies I need some advice. So the company that I bought my dress from called today and said they need my shoe height by Friday because of dress alterations and what not... Well I haven't even picked out a shoe my weddings in June (idk a shoe was just the last thing on my mind right now) So.. I'm wondering if you ladies are wearing a heel even if it's just for the ceremony how high are you gonna go (of course not 6inch) but I'm curious. I don't usually wear heels so I want to be comfortable and I don't plan on wearing them the entire night just for the ceremony and pictures. I'm 5"2 and my FH is 6"3 (the only reason I'm wearing a heel in the first place.)

As always thanks in advance!!!(:

I have 2 pairs and haven't decided on which ones. A blue pair that are about 4" and a ivory jeweled sling back that 5". I will have to walk from the venue down to the boardwalk(across the road) so I'm leaning towards the blue ones.

I don't normally wear heels, but I fell in love with a very sparkly blue pair of stilettos that are 3.5" I believe. I did work with my bridal shop in advance to size the hem to the shoes [I'm 5'11" so custom length was a must]. I brought them in for the first fitting and because we'd gone back and forth on the length I ended up not having to do hemming for the alteration [I lucked out as this doesn't always work]. But I did find it nice to have spent the time before to save in the end.

Do not size for flats and then wear heels. The dress will be short & it makes it look cheap.

My original thought was flats all the way; however, I decided to give in to some family pressure and got heels. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted so I had custom made heels from shoesofprey.com made. They're 2.2 inches (a heel height I've worn for many hours before) and I literally picked out all the colors/details down to the color of my insole. I highly recommend! And they only came out to ~ 130 bucks. I really wanted shoes I'd wear again and I knew stilletos weren't for me so I got block heels. They also have a 365 day return period. Highly recommend you check them out if you can't find anything you'd like!

I was a bridesmaid 2 years ago and was forced to wear 3 inch heels for the pics and ceremony. I am not a heels lady so as soon as those were done I switched out and had to hold my dress up all night, it was a real pain. So with that in mind I'm going with flats for it all for our day. With him being so much taller, you could come up with some really cute shots of you standing on things and play with it. Be comfortable and make it so there is as little stress day of as possible.

FH is quite a bit taller than me, but I won't be wearing heels. I just don't like them.

I usually wear flats or 2-3 inch wedges. DH doesn't like wedges though. I ordered 2.8 inch block heels from Shoes of Prey and was fine all day in them!

If you don't normally wear heels, maybe stick to 2-3 inch heels. Block heels are also a plus, much more comfortable.

If I tried to wear heels with my ballgown I would break mg neck. I am going with these crocheted toms.

I'm a huge shoe woman, and honestly I picked my shoes before my dress! Not that there is a rule that you should but I fell in love with the shoe I picked. And I knew it was gonna go with whatever I picked as far as dress goes. I picked lime 5 inch heels, but I will have some back ups for when my feet hurt too much later on in the reception

My fh is 6'2 i am 5ft7 so i have been debating the same thing. What i decided was a heel for ceremony abut 3in and then flats for rest of day. Dress is being hemmed so when i walk you will see just a peek of my something blue.

I'm 5' 4" and FH is 6' 3". If I wear heels, they'll be 2-2 1/2". I'm fine in heels, but don't wear them alot. If I go much higher, I know my feet will probably be hurting.

If you wear heels alot, then go with what you normally wear. I'm 5'4 and DH is 6'0. I didn't wear heels. I wanted to be comfy all day and I don't wear heels on the notm. These where mine.

I went with a 4" heel but decided on a 3.5" because I found some cuter ones after I had already purchased the 4".
