Wedding Day Gift for Future Spouse—necessary?

We have not really talked about this, but I don't think we are getting each other gifts. The wedding itself is expensive enough.

Not. But I did one anyway just cause its cute aha

I mean., it's already a lot of money spent.. But Our rings, promises and us getting married and honeymoon - those are amazing gifts as they are.

I've been looking into getting him something, a long with a sweet note, to give him.
Just not sure if I want to give it to him at the rehearsal dinner when everyone else gets something or if I want to surprise him with something on our wedding day.

I know it's not necessary to get him something and we all know how much money is already going into the wedding but it's something that I want to do for him and I know he'll appreciate it and it'll make him smile

I don't think it is necessary but a sweet gesture. I had a photo tie clip made of his uncle whom he was really close with that passed away a few years ago. I had a photo of him and his father made into a patch that I will have sewn onto his tie, his father died in January, a Penn state blanket, and I am making a photo album with pictures from a Boudoir photo shoot.
