Wedding Day Co Maid of Honors

Chantelle, on September 27, 2020 at 6:45 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
Hello! Does anyone have any experience with having two co-maid of honors and if so, how did you honor them/assign helpful tasks evenly for the wedding day? I would like them both to stand out in some special way at some point on the wedding day. I am also unsure what helpful tasks MOHs normally help with, that could be split clearly/evenly. Thanks for any suggestions!

Daughter had two. They both had a thin sparkly belt on their dresses so they "stood out" compared with the other BMs. One stood next to daughter and held her bouquet during the ceremony, and the other signed the marriage certificate as one of the witnesses, so they each had "something special" the day of. They gave their 3-minute toast together.

I had two! There wasn’t anything in particular I did aha I mean I offered everyone a chance to speak in a toast or speech if they wanted but only one did. I wrote their titles as co maids of honor and that’s about it

I was in a wedding where there was 2 (I was one of the 2) the other one was under 18 at the time, so it was basically like I was the only one because I took on all of the typical MOH duties. But we both wore different dresses than the rest of the bridal party.

I have 2 moh (my daughter and bestie).

My daughter is the main moh (bestie knows), but my daughter is autistic and can't handle a bunch of stress. My bestie is offering to handle the stress of a moh.

I have a maid and matron of honor. If one wasn't married they would be both maids. My matron of honor is a big planner, my maid of honor is too. But my maid of honor lives across the country and is in grad school, so my matron of honor is taking point on the bachelorette planning. They know each other, not very well but they have figured out a balance already. I really appreciate that because then I don't have to navigate it. I wasn't planning on having anyone "stand out", my bridal party will be wearing different color dresses so that doesn't really work.

I have two maids of honors! They are twins. I found that the best way to honor them is by asking them what they would like to do! This way, no one's feelings can get hurt! My original plan was to have one do a reading during our wedding and one do a toast during the reception. However, they've already planned it out and want to do a toast together during the reception. Thankfully, because they are extremely close they'll be deciding amongst them for the more stressful tasks!
