Wedding Colors

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our wedding colors are dusty rose, royal blue with hints of gold.
However, my fiancé wants his groomsmen to wear black suits with the dusty rose ties while he wears the blue. My girls are all wearing dusty rose.
I’m afraid this will not look coordinated or match! All I can see is a wedding photo disaster. Any suggestions????

Black is neutral and goes with everything so no need to worry about things clashing. I would just make sure that your husband's suit is definitely a bright enough blue to stand out from the black. A dark navy or something will look just off enough that it wont make sense.

Can he go try on some suits with his groomsmen and see how they look together? I agree with you that unless the blue is a brighter one, it will just look a bit off.

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely look into getting some swatches for the blues and pink!

This is also a great idea, however, only one of his groomsmen lives in our state. Maybe I can make this suggestion to him. Thanks!

Ah damn. I do think one should be enough though, or even some random shop assistant would work, or you! That way, you'll hopefully see it together and decide it goes together ok, or he'll realise it looks odd and won't go ahead!

I would try to find a royal blue tux with black lapels for your hubby to be, so his tux stands out but still ties in with the groomsmen’s black tuxes. I think it could work and wouldn’t look bad at all.

Oh yes, I love the idea of black lapels connecting the grooms side. The gentlemen could also have the same bouttoniere or even the same bowtie but in different colors. You can even further unify everyone in the bridal party using a common floral including in your bouquet. I can understand your future hubby wants to look unique on his day. You all will look beautiful.

Yes, yes! I saw a post but I can’t seem to find it again. Where the groomsmen wore black suits, a black button up shirt and the tie & vest were blue. The groom wore the reverse with a blue tux blue button up and black vest/tie. His tux also had a nice design on it too 😍

There are certainly menswear pros who can help guide you. With tuxes and even suits, mensear has moved to a slimmer cut, shorter break, single button dinner jacket without vests or cumberbunds. If it is hot in July where you are, I would worry the men will get overheated with vests, or they'll opt to wear vests only through the night. But, it's up to you. You can certainly add style with ties, pocketsquares, bouts, fabric choice, and pattern such as jacquard. Best wishes~

WHAAT?!?!? NOOOOOO. sorry my opinion doesn't matter as much as FH, but itsa no for me to the black suits. Like he couldn't do navy blue at least? I know it's royal blue not navy but its closer to the blue family.
