Wedding colors

You could have your bridesmaids wear black, but with white fur wraps to make them stand out, or vice versa! They can also wear metallic or sequined black dresses instead of ordinary fabric.

I think they should still wear white since their dresses (along with hair and makeup) will still stand out from what your guests wear

Rather than dictate the color your guests wear, maybe you could just request nobody wear black or navy (because navy can look almost black at times), then have your bridesmaids wear white (or ivory, blush, etc). This will ensure you are the only one wearing black and will still provide a lot of contrast between you and your guests, and high contrast between you and your BMs. And it will also ensure your bridesmaids stand out as part of the wedding party.

I love the idea of a black and white wedding, as I went to a black and white ball once. Very fun. But def a know-your-crowd thing if they would mind being told what to wear.
