Wedding Coloring/activity Books

Chelsea, on September 16, 2019 at 8:07 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9
I'm only having a handful of kids at my reception, and I'm putting together a little bag with wedding activity books and coloring books. Because Im only making them for 4 kids and the books came in sets of 12, I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on buying more of the coloring/activity books and setting them out on a table with a sign for any adults that would also want to take some and fill them out. I thought it would be something funny and different for people to do during the cocktail hour/reception, but do you think adults would do it or would it just seem lame? (It's not just coloring books, they have different activities like blank tic tac toe boards and color by number and things like that)

We were going to do that! But we ended up having zero kids in attendance so we skipped it all together.

That's what I was thinking! Lol I'd probably use one so I'm wondering if other people would too!

I think that’s a really cute idea! Cute activities + alcohol = a good time for your guests.

I think that could be really cute, and worst case, no one will take them.

Im doing that because I have 30ish littles coming but if adults wanted to join, I wouldn't mind. I'll also have outdoor games (I have a huge back area on my venue) so people just dont have to sit and wait. I know my guests would appreciate it though. Smiley smile

That seems like a really great idea! I would definitely take one lol. We're thinking of doing something similar as well. We would have blank and coloring paper and collect all of them in a little basket at the end of our event. Then we will put them all together and then frame it and put it up in the nursery when we have our first kid. We would also have like little bubble bottles and such to keep them busy for a bit. I might have a caregiver on site too so the parents will have a little bit of free time here and there. We'll see what happens though.

I would use it! I love coloring! Besides, it's a little something different for times when there is waiting (like cocktail hour). Honestly, I would put them out, and any that don't get used, you can donate to family kids, or to a school/preschool. It's a great idea!
