So I have had it up to my neck with all the opinions of other people. I’m so fed up that I’m thinking of just having a ceremony and then going out with just the wedding party after. Everyone is complaining about the food options like that’s the most important part of the day. You should come to the reception wanting to celebrate the newlyweds. I don’t know why people are sweating the small stuff. It’s really making my blood boil. I don’t know what to do. I just feel like people are taking away my joy. I haven’t been happy this entire time with planning. Everyone is too opinionated and it’s really weighing me down.

You could totally skip the reception and even just opt for a cake and punch after the ceremony

@Jennifer It’s my mom! She’s complained and made this about her this ENTIRE time. My fiancé’s uncle also said something about the food.

Oh no! Moms can be the best or the worst about these things! If she brings it up, just say "thanks mom! I never thought of that!" then just do what you want! It'll make her feel like she helped but once the day arrives, she probably won't even notice (hopefully haha!).

Does his uncle have a food allergy? If he doesn't, then the food is none of his business and he can take a seat and enjoy the food you're providing! Smiley smile

@Jennifer No his uncle doesn’t have any known allergies. I’m just going to try to block out negativity. Thank you!!
