I'm super frugal and do not want to pay for an actual venue. I'm looking at exchanging vows in a park. My mom and her friends have suggested that I choose a free or very affirdable place that has some shelter in case of rain and have suggested the war memorial.

What do you all think?

    I think it looks very beautiful. Just because it is the War Museum doesn't mean it should stop you from getting married there.

    It looks so beautiful, just because you do not like war does not mean you can’t have a wedding there. All that matters is that you and your fiancé are a fan of the venue, if you are into WWII great, if not that okay too! I say go for it🥰😊

    I understand, maybe you should express that to them and keep looking at other affordable venues. I’m sure you have already looked at a million websites and have done so much research, but I would definitely keep looking if you don’t feel comfortable with it. 😊

    Thanks. Also this city has some extreme mandates with COVID to where I may need to provide proof of negative covid 19 test results to use this place. I thought that was crazy since it's entirely outdoors and only 5 of us total.

    Not sure. I'm now leaning towards not getting it due to the city's strict covid 19 mandates. Would have to show proof of negative results just to use an OUTDOOR space with only 5 of us and not coming into contact with others.

    If there’s only 5 of you guys, maybe you and your family could do a cute little backyard wedding, you could buy some flowers and really make it nice, if it rains you guys can always go inside and get married. I know it’s not as glamorous, but it’s totally affordable and it could be absolutely beautiful!

    Right. I am so over COVID and more frustrated that my FH won't agree to an elopement. He just has to have his parents there.
