Wedding celebration/reception

You can do whatever you want, but for me it would depend on the formality of the dress and the reception. If you're having a casual backyard BBQ and you wore a ballgown, I would probably pass. If you're having a semi-formal reception, go for it!

As much as we spend on our wedding dresses, I say take any opportunity you have to wear it!!!

I'd wear the dress!

You can wear whatever you wish! We had a local reception, my hubby wore a different tux and I wore a 2nd wedding dress.

Are you sure you want to throw the local reception the weekend after your DW? We had ours 3 months later and wish we waited 4 because both were crazy DIY events AND hubby & I were seriously sick for three weeks after our wedding.

Wear your dress again!

Absolutely! Wear the dress!

That is all up to you. My sister got married in Jamaica and even our parents weren't there. They had a big reception for friends and family when they returned. She wore her wedding dress and he wore a nice suit. They did a little 5-8 minute ceremony with her daughters and the rest was a fun reception. If you want the reception, then plan it like you would want to if you were getting married at home.

I went to something like that and the bride wore a longer white Floral dress. She was definitely not in a wedding gown.
