Wedding Cardigan? Shawls? Coverups?

Hey you brides with fall or winter weddings! What did / will you use to keep warm? I'm leaning heavily towards a cardigan of some sort. I just love the pop of color and the more casual feel it can introduce. How bout you?

My wedding day ended up being freakishly cold (it was beach weather hot just a couple of days earlier) My MIL packed me a gorgeous shawl for the reception, but I didnt notice the cold all night! It was an outdoor wedding. My excitement and adrenaline kept me warm I guess lol

Definitely debating between a faux fur shaw and a cardigan.

I'm planning on getting a dress with real sleeves (not illusion sleeves) but I haven't decided on what I would/could wear over that yet, if I need to. Shawls, pashminas, and faux fur wraps are on my radar, though.

I wore a lace bolero jacket..not just for weather..but for religious reasons as well. Went so well with my dress you couldn't even tell it was separate!

I'll probably do a cardigan too because I'm obsessed with cardigans and literally wear one every single day, but I'm also loving this shawl from Etsy...

I wore a pashmina because it was quite warm on my wedding day. (Below pic is the only one I have. We met two former professional hockey players in the lobby of the Four Seasons.).

I also had my grandmother's mink with me, but didn't wear it. This is in the salon the day I bought my dress.

I'm also considering wearing a cape, they are adorable! The only thing I'd be sad about is that the back of my dress is beautiful and it will cover it up.

I'm having a silk shawl made. I'm lucky enough to be a part of an amazing group of knitters, one of them dyed the yarn for me and and another is knitting the shawl.
