Wedding Cancelation or Postponement?????

Hi, in light of the COVID-19 cases, is anyone considering canceling or postponing their weddings? I'm not paranoid but I do want to keep our guests safe. We aren't canceling or postponing but it does warrant a discussion.

Good for you! I know it's a ton of work to change things, but you know what you want and you're not willing to sacrifice it or risk anyone's health for what should be a joyous occasion. All the best of luck to you.

Agreed. I just talked to our hotel who said even if we postpone, we'd have to cancel, pay the cancelation fee and start over.

I agree with mostly everyone here. There is JUST WAY TOO MUCH MONEY AND TIME INVOLVED and to cancel would mean losing almost the same amount. We are moving forward but my fiance's best friend, her best woman, cannot come now due to a military travel restriction. This just sucks either way you look at it. Indeed we are all in this together and feeling it in all areas of our lives. Stay safe everyone and thanks for your comments. Happy Wedding Planning!

I think postponing gives everyone, even ourselves, a peace of mind. It would be so bad if someone gets sick because of traveling to and from our wedding and we're at honeymoon. You'd feel responsible.

That is insane that you have to pay a fee when this inst even your fault. We can at least reschedule without penalty but honestly its taking me to a sad place cause people are being just cruel in the approach to all this. Not like we planned for COVID to happen.

Awesome! We just were told we have to reschedule -- hopefully we get a decent date.
