Wedding cakes - how much is everyone spending?

We tried all the top bakers in town and honestly was disappointed in the taste of the cakes. Our favorite was the whole foods Berry Chantilly Cake. So for $175 we are getting an 8" tier to cut and 24 cupcakes to serve 45 people. The $175 also includes the 3 cake stand/plates I bought at TJ Maxx.

$86 for a two tier cake and 48 mini cupcakes. Our venue partners with a local baker.

Ours was $400 that served 100 people.. plus a $40 delivery fee. I think there was a distinction with serving sizes, like, is it supposed to be a dessert size portion or more like a "tastings" size portion (if you had other dessert planned). So make sure you ask about that!

This is the type of frosting I'm asking for which is made with chocolate buttercream frosting. I'm having her add white chocolate on top to look like snow and food glitter with snowflakes to add a frozen winter look. Pine cones and tassels for the "flowers". The hunt is over wood cake topper too with "snow" on it too. Cost $200 with $85 added for delivery and set up...from Bangor, ME, USA

We were thinking of ordering a cake from our local supermarket. Maybe a two tier. I hope that doesn't seem cheap but we aren't looking to go over budget
