My fiance and I are looking into wedding cakes, and are trying to decide on what design to go with. We're doing a small two-tier cake. Our colors are cerulean blue, sparkly silver, and white. We don't really have a theme, though a lot of our decor seems to follow a forest theme. This was our original inspiration picture for the design, though now that we postponed our wedding, we're considering switching to a different design. We'd love to see what everyone else did for their cakes/desserts, please share a picture of what your wedding desserts looked like (or will look like)!

Wow - I love this!! Very elegant.

My fiance and I are also doing a dessert other than cake - we're going to do a small two-tier cake for us to cut, and then tiramisu for everyone for dessert. Are your cupcakes going to be the same flavor as your cake? Or different?

Different! We may do some with the same flavor as our cake only because it tasted amazing and no one else will eat the cake but this way there's something for everyone. We're just going to cut the cake and then have it stored and most likely bring it back as a late night snack for just us to eat!

Well we are not having berries all around the cake. I showed FH some pics and he liked the idea of the berries because our filling will be a strawberry mousse with fresh strawberries. I want the flowers because I think it is romantic. I guess it will look at bit like this but only on the middle tier and bottom tier in two spots.

I really like the way the flowers look with the berries! I agree that you don't need the berries all the way around. That sounds like a delicious cake flavor!! Thank you for sharing these pictures!

Very cool! Nothing wrong with something simple. I think the simpler designs often look the best. Are you doing the same flavor for both the minimony and the big wedding? Or changing things up?

Lol, it's always the combinations you never think about or the ones that sound odd initially, that end up being the best! Our cake flavor will be a red velvet cake, cherry filling, and Italian buttercream frosting. We never would have thought to do the red velvet and cherry together, but once we tried it, we knew we had to pick it! I agree that it would be worth the extra money for the flavors you want!

I've definitely searched Pinterest- that's where we found our original cake inspiration photo (though it took quite a bit of searching). I sometimes get overwhelmed by Pinterest, but I have found some decent ideas on there! Instagram is a good idea, I have not yet tried searching there! Thank you for the suggestion!
