How many tiers are you having and how much are you paying for the cake? This is my next step.

We're doing a cake similar to this one: 2 tiers with 3 layers each. One tier will be strawberry/champagne and the other will be lemon/raspberry. One tier will be 10" and the other will be 8". Nothing fancy on he outside, just simple textured white icing. To supplement the other servings we will have an additional sheet cake in the back. All in all we will be paying $500.

4 tiered cake that is big enough to feed 100 then sheet cakes to an additional feed 150. Our guest list is at 300 right now but we are planning on providing take out boxes for people to take cake home with them. It cost us $800

We are doing a small 2 tier (8” and 6”) mostly for decoration and cutting for $110 and then getting sheet cake from sams club which will be <$50 that will be cut up in the back. We will save the tiered cake for the next day probably because it is only about 30 servings

My stepsister did a small 12" round cake for cutting and then bought a giant sheet cake from Safeway for about $60 for the guests. It was delicious lol.

I think general prices depends not only on the baker you chose but where you live as well as design. My cake was 3 tiers for 45 people and we paid $385. We had sugar flowers all between second and third tier.

We are having a 3 tier strawberry cheesecake! And I'm unsure of the cost. Luckily my husband's grandma offered to take care of it for us. Pic is my inspiration.

We're doing a semi-naked buttercream cake for 135 people. I checked a few different online reference guides like this: https://www.easyweddings.com.au/articles/what-size-wedding-cake/

These figures vary a little, so I think it's best to have them in mind, but inquire with your local bakeries as you compare prices. My bakery gave me this info: cakes will start at $3 / serving in buttercream and $5 in fondant. So a 6”/8”/10”/12” is a 4 tier which serves about 100 people, will start between $300 and $500. $30 local delivery fee. $50 tasting or $25 tasting to-go box.

She did say that their "100 serving cake" should serve about 135 people in reality, since caterers often cut serving sizes differently than the cake shop may quote for.

We'll probably do vanilla cake, vanilla custard inside, with a light layer of caramel buttercream covering.

I also wanted to add some panna cotta w/ raspberry dessert cups, but idk if we'll do that.

We are doing a 4 tiered cake that feeds 125 for $650. This includes delivery, but we have to get our own cake stand.

She is using fondant and sugar flowers, too. I think it's going to be gorgeous. It would have been less expensive if we didn't keep the sugar flowers, but I want to keep them in a clear, glass, curio box. Allie, are you having cake? Have you posted a pic in our discussion? I'm dying to see. Need to read what everyone's written again.

The sugar flowers will be nice! I'm having fresh flowers on my cake. The venue is all inclusive so I have no idea how much it actually costs. I think anywhere from $150-$250 if I had to guess for a 3 tier. Here is my inspo:
