What's the most you (or someone you know) spent on a wedding cake?? What do you think a good price would be??

Me too! We’re having a Christmas theme so I think red velvet with white icing and green sprinkles will look nice

Our venue package includes sheet cake for the guests but we opted for a tiered cake; for 100 guests, it's $540.

Oh ok. Not too bad. I guess just seeing the prices I was like ok, I knew it was gonna be pricey but I didn't realize how pricey lol.

Yeah we didn’t care about having a cake so we went with desserts. We had a few family members say we had to have a cake cutting picture but almost two years later we have no regrets!

Yea, I understand. It's not for everyone and that's ok.

I got married in NYC. You do *not* want to know what I paid for a simple 2-tier cake. (Mostly because I've blocked it from memory, I was so mad it was so expensive. I work in the restaurant industry, I get it... but YIKES.)

What's better is to look at the average prices for your area, what you can afford, and how important the cake is to you.

We decided on a 6 inch, three tier cutting cake and 60 donuts. We found that local bakers are cost friendly and are paying $70 for the cake a donuts.

Oh wow. That's really good. I'll definitely take a look at local bakeries. We already have a dessert table which I'm super excited about but we'd still like a cake. We just don't want to pay a crazy amount for it.

Not bad. We have about 140 (invited anyway) so I'm hoping we can find a deal somewhere.

350 isn't too bad. We're probably going to end up with 3 tiers.

I believe our 3-tier buttercream frosting cake with 2 types of filling inside was around $900. But we live in a very high cost area and this was actually considered a steal for the quality of cake that we got. We looked at nearly a dozen bakers and most of the quotes we received were in the $**** range.

We are doing a small two tier cake, cupcakes and cookies and total is around $550. This is to serve 100 attendee's at either a slice of cake/cupcake and a cookie each lol, we definitely erred on the side of more, my side of the family is big into sweets lol

Oh wow. Ok. Not too bad. We've invited about 140 so it could be less by the time our final head count is due. I'm always down for cheaper lol.
