Is anyone else not as excited for their wedding now as the were when wedding planning started? I got engaged at the beginning of December 2017 and was planning for a November 2018 wedding but had to push it back to 2019 due to paying for college out of pocket as well as moving from the country with $300 in rent to the city with $1100 in rent so I couldn't afford all of that plus a wedding that FH and I have had to completely pay for. I have a little less than 5 months before the big day and I am just no longer excited about any of it 😭

That is wonderful for y'all! My planning is pretty much over since I've been engaged since the beginning of December 2017 but due to a few different things we had to push our 2018 wedding to 2019 so I think the long engagement is getting to me.

We have a short engagement so I’ve mostly been excited but about a month ago I started to feel kind of meh... Our invitations came in a couple of days ago and now I’m over the moon exited again with 100 days to go! Be patient with yourself. It’ll turn back around.

By the 5 month mark usually everything is already booked and most of the big decision are made so is a lot of waiting. Maybe that’s why you’re not so excited. Around the 3 month mark you might start getting excited again once you’re back and hands-on full planning mode all the last details.

I'm feeling that way, we have pushed our wedding back twice. But started planning a few months ago. I feel overwhelmed, my wedding is August 2020. I'm hoping to get excited again as I start creating things.

Haha we got extremely lucky in our small town! Our wedding is at about 7K so far and we set a budget of 10K so it's not a financial issue because we have kept it under the budget so far. I think because our engagement will be a month short of two years that I'm just over waiting.

No because we set a budget of 10K and as of now we are at about 7 so we are under budget at the moment. I think it's because of our extremely long engagement and I'm just ready for it to be wedding day already.

Our engagement will be a month short of two years so it's been really long and we have everything booked and paid for other than flowers. I found a really good deal on invitations and RSVP cards so I've already bought those and they have arrived so I don't really have anything to look forward to other than bridals and even those I'm feeling eh about. I hope I come out of this wedding mood soon.

We only pushed back a year but everything was planned for 2018 so I haven't really had much to do as far as this year other than catering, cake, DJ, and photography but we had her booked already for the 2018 date so we used that for our engagements and our venue let us move our date back a year for no extra charge so we didn't have to worry about that. I'm hoping my bridals in September will put me back in the happy wedding mood because even that I'm feeling eh about.

Gotcha! I’m in a similar boat.... Engaged January 2019 and getting married October 2020. But, I think what helps is that I don’t eat, breathe and sleep our wedding planning. I make a decision and go back to living normal life. Every day of my life is not about wedding planning. This WW app is probably the only thing I regularly do that’s “wedding-ish”. And that’s mainly because I like reading and shaking my head at some of the posts. Lol!!!

I lived my normal life during the planning process as well, most of my stuff I already knew what I wanted so I didn't really have much to "plan" this app is about as much wedding as I do also.

Though we have mostly everything done, things keep coming up that make me want to cancel everything and I'm not excited one bit. Don't get me wrong, I am more than ready to marry my FH, I could just care less about the actual wedding itself.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm not having a bridal shower because FH and I already live together and have for a year and a half so we have everything. I'm no longer getting to have a bachelorette party due to multiple reasons. My family lives 3 - 4 hours away so I dont really get to enjoy wedding planning or anything like that with them. I'm just really depressed about the wedding in general.

I am with you. I got engaged April 2018 and my wedding is October 2019. I'm not far away and I'm not excited at all. No one has responded to the RSVP. I've had to plan this wedding from a different state so it's all been hard. I think wedding planners are overpriced so I didn't hire one. FH just says "it will all work out".

I spent a lot of money on my RSVPs and put the stamps on them so no one would have the excuse not to send them back and people are still refusing to do so. I told my Mom if she didn't send back my RSVP I was just going to consider that as a no to coming to the wedding

I didn't buy rsvps. I put the rsvp information on the wedding invitations explaining its done on our website. I didn't want to have to keep up with rsvps and since this is a digital heavy world now I just thought it would be easier but I guess not.
