Wedding bands with Marquise diamond

Futuremrsm, on September 5, 2020 at 9:04 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2
So my engagement ring is a marquise diamond with a halo of small diamonds around it. I had previously bought FH and I wedding bands, and today we both put ours on to make sure they fit and we both realized we both don't like them. I want something that sparkles more but I'm having trouble finding wedding bands that look okay with my kind of diamond. Can anyone out there show me photos of their wedding bands with their marquise diamond?

I think you need a chevron band. It highlights the diamond better.

If you do this tho, after the wedding, you need to solder your rings together or they will glide around and increase the risk of damage to the setting and the stone. The biggest issue is it will pinch or slide in opposite directions. The opposing directions is what wears on the setting. It will also work like a rose thorn if you don't.

I soldered my curved setting with my round stone and it feels like a 4 mm ring rather than wearing 2 rings that go all over the place.

Apparently mariquise diamonds are the easiest to break due to shape. Keep in mind this is rare but possible. You have to bang it just right and it will work like a jeweler cutting it. Your homeowners may cover it and make sure it is appraised.

A chevron band would totally work! I also think a really thin micro-pave band could just slip right underneath your engagement ring!
