Wedding bands with different colored stones

Hannah, on July 27, 2017 at 10:16 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

Does anyone have a diamond engagement ring but then a wedding band with other types of stones? Would that look good? I really want a custom made wedding band with both diamonds and emeralds, alternating. just wondering if anyone has anything similar (any stone besides diamonds) and if you want to share pictures that would be awesome! Thanks!

I have an orange sapphire and diamonds so it's not too different but I just went with the matching band to that of my E-ring

I have a blue sapphire and diamond e-ring in a palladium setting and am considering an emarald and diamond band in a gold setting. (That ring was a gift to my mother when I was born). I don't have a picture of the ring on me, but can send one tonight (i won't be home until 9ish, so give me time)

Do you have a picture of your ering? If it's just a diamond, I can't imagine it would clash with any gemstones in a wedding band!

My ering has a diamond with a sapphire on either side. My band is alternating diamond and sapphires. I love it because it's so unique. Go for it!

I just realized I picked only blue sapphires, lol. I'm biased because I have a blue sapphire e-ring

Yes. My band has different colored stones and my e-ring is a diamond. I don't have pics and I haven't seen it so I can't give more details lol. But I think those combos look unique and rather stunning together.

I also was considering doing something like that. My ring is a diamond halo in rose gold and I wanted a band with blue sapphires in it but I'm not sure I'll be able to find a rose gold band with sapphires and diamonds. Plus, I'm not too sure how it would look. I may just go with the matching diamond band my ring comes with

I like that idea! I'm considering doing mixed metals (e-ring is white gold, so I'm considering yellow or rose gold). Not exactly the same, but similar concept.

I have a diamond engagement ring. A diamond and pink sapphire wedding band and for Mother's Day last year I received a diamond and aquamarine (baby's birthstone) ring. I wear all three everyday and love how they look.

My wedding band is the ring here but I replaced the sapphire with emeralds

I really like the look of rings that don't necessarily "go together". I am going to tell my fiancé if he needs an idea for birthday/Xmas/anniversary presents that he can always get me additional bands lol!! I love the look of stacked rings as well

    @JerseyGirl,

Oh wow, I adore your E-ring and band! Just beautiful! I love sapphires and diamonds together, my E-ring is an estate ring with sapphires, the band doesn't alternate though, I really like that about yours. #sapphiregirls

ETA, and how funny, our H's have similar bands!

My wedding band is a vintage late 60s/early 70s diamond and pink sapphire ring. I cannot wait for the day I can put it on!

I love color and I thought this was a good way to give it a little pop!

Another option is mixing metals. My FH just bought me 2 rose gold bands to go with my white gold E-ring and original white gold band.

@Kari- I love the way your rings go together! I love my sapphires! I have a star sapphire on my other hand.

This isn't my wedding band, but I bought this stackable ring and I LOVE the way it looks with my ering. It's pink sapphire and opal. I think the pop of color is so pretty.
