Today I went to see some wedding bands. The problem is that I like white gold and my fiance is more traditional and likes yellow. My engagement ring is white gold, so they have suggested that I should go with a wedding band of the same color so they match. But my fiance doesn't understand this and wants gold for both of us. I don't know what to do!! He says that gold looks more like a wedding ring. He doesn't want any diamonds on my ring or anything either. Just a plain yellow gold ring! And I'm more feminine and not so traditional. I would prefer some diamonds because I want to spend on something I will love. After all, I will ALWAYS have that ring on. Besides, white gold is more modern these days.... How can I make my fiance happy but at the same time get what I want???

What do you suggest??? White or yellow gold???

We don't match. Mine is rose gold and his is yellow gold. Everyone should have what they like.

@cece there is no such thing as real white gold. Gold in general is that, gold. It's yellow. In order to make white gold they add a white alloy. In addition to that alloy they need to dip it in order for it to be perfectly white. If someone wants a metal that is naturally white you need to go platinum or something like that.

My e-ring is yellow and white gold with a sapphire. My wedding band is white gold with tiny diamonds. That's what I wanted, and FI wanted me to be happy. My FI isn't getting a ring because he doesn't want one. I'm fine with that because I want him to be happy. Go shopping together and see what it looks like on your finger. If you find something that makes you happy, I'd think it'd make him happy.

White gold would look prettier. But whatever you and your FH choose, I'm sure will look great!
