Wedding album from photographer vs. shutterfly

I would look into other companies. Shutterfly doesn't have the greatest quality in my opinion.

The prints i got from them were blurry compared to the exact same prints I got from Walgreens.

Try the other companies that PPs have suggested.

The quality of shutterfly or other consumer grade album is nothing the same as a pro lab that reputable photographers use. I include albums in my packages as it's a better product and better representation of my work. Plus, let me finish telling the story you hired me to tell. Some don't want to bother with them and that's sad.

My photographer includes one album. IMO shutterfly's albums are no substitute. Plus I wonder how well they will hold up long term.

I ordered Shutterfly books as gifts for our parents and they came out AWESOME. However, I ordered a legit one from the photographer as well because I feel it's something I'd want to pass down to our kids someday.

I chose to go with Shutterfly - but honestly making those books is a huge pain IMO. If I could go back I would have asked the photographer to do it.

@Ruth, which is why I think it's valuable for us to handle it, less invasive to our time and it's done.

It depend on what you are looking for.

If you are looking for cost effective and quick book productions, Shuterfly / mixbook will be your choice.

If you are looking for more quality and finishing with premium price range, then let your photographer do their jobs.

My suggestion is to find a high quality Wedding Album maker with tons of options and finishing and do the book yourself to save some money from overcharge photographer.
