Wedding album - Artifact Uprising?

Jacqueline, on August 24, 2021 at 6:44 PM Posted in Married Life 1 13

Has anyone used Artifact Uprising for their wedding album? are they worth the $$$?

Or have you used another company who you had an amazing experience with? Ideally I want something that opens flat

thanks!

Artifact uprising is good for photo albums of vacations and stuff like that. But if you are wanting good thick quality pages and something that opens flat, then you probably want an heirloom quality album (which you are not going to get from artifact uprising). I would suggest checking out shortcakeinc.com

I used Artifact Uprising for my engagement photo book. The binding and cover are great and the printing quality inside is lovely. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

They do offer lay flat options (I own one).

I’m sorry, my comment was structured in a confusing way. I meant that you won’t find an heirloom quality book from AU.

I got the wedding guest book set from Artifact Uprising - essentially an engagement session album that'll double as our guest book. It's lay-flat with thick pages and personally think it's pretty good quality!

Oh, yes. You're definitely right. The quality isn't anything like what my photographers provide, but I think it's much better quality than Shutterfly.

Oh for sure! I’ve ordered photo books from both companies, and artifact uprising was definitely better quality than Shutterfly

That’s all! My photographer doesn't supply albums (only high res edits) and artifact was recommended

Just curious, those of you who have ordered them, have you ordered the photo books or the lay flat wedding album specifically? It looks like the wedding album has heavier grade paper options than the basic photo books
    Thanks for your insights

I only have the one designed to be a guest book. I wonder if you contact them if they could send a sample of the wedding album page for your reference? No clue if they do that, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

I cannot comment on Artifact Uprising as I have never personally used them, although the marketing is convincing. I can say I have never been impressed with the quality of Shutterfly products, although I have at this point avoided them for years.

I'm a photographer and ordered my albums from a professional print lab that I already use for my personal work. I will say that regardless of the company you use, going for layflat albums instead of cheaper photo books is absolutely the way to go. Layflat products are designed so that the bleed edge is absolutely seamless and in general company's "albums" are archival and use better materials and stricter manufacturing controls compared to "books" offered by the same company. You'll also typically have upgraded options for cover material, paper, etc that really elevate the product.

I looked into a few options and did see artifact uprising but ended up going with a super nice option from Shutterfly because my friend had done hers from there and I was able to see it. I was hesitant until I saw hers. I custom designed it with with thick pages and gold gilded edges and a leather cover. I love it and highly recommend! It definitely wasn’t cheap but worth it. It’s easier to see in a video but I’m unable to attach, so here are some pics. Wedding album - Artifact Uprising? 1
