Hey Everyone, My fiance recently proposed to me in July of this year and we plan to get married September 2021. A lot of people are saying that is a long time but we want to make sure we have money to budget everything! Opinions? I'm thinking about possibly switching it to next year.

I completely understand where you’re coming from! I’ve battled with this too! I’m getting married in 2021 & have felt discouraged when people have said “wow so long”. We’re paying for the wedding ourselves and moving it up a year would mean going into debt & honestly I cant justify going into debt just for 1 day. I’m sticking with 2021, it works for us and will mean being debt free. If moving it up means it won’t hurt your pockets & you’re able to afford it I say go for it , if not don’t let other people discouraged what YOU want to do. At the end of the day you’re paying for it and it’s ultimately your decision
