Weather report?!

I know weather can change in an instant, but when did others start checking and planning for the weather for their big day. I am 7 days out and it's ever changing. Now it says AM showers for our day. Arghh why is it so freakin rainy in Vermont this year?!

I started looking like a week ago. I know it's not accurate and I know it's out of my control so I shouldn't even worry about it, and really other than wanting to take some photos outside, it wouldn't even affect my wedding much because everything is inside. But it still bothers me lol.

I'm still another week from having a 10 day report. It's killing me.

I'm so nervous about the weather. We are having our wedding on the beach during hurricane season.... oops. I guess that is what Plan B's are for.

Unfortunately you won't really know until the day of. Just hope and pray for the best outcome Smiley smile

@OP- My FSIL said the same thing. They still live in VT. Seems to rain a ton lately.

I kept an eye on it on my phone, which shows about 10 days out. All was well until the Monday night before it's showing a rain icon for my wedding day! I FREAKED OUT!! We were getting married on the beach, and while we did have a back-up plan, it wouldn't have been the same. The rain chance kept going up and down all week (there was a cold front coming in). I even messaged the local weatherman on Facebook for his insight! He was very calming and said the cold front was going to move through right before my ceremony but didn't seem to have any rain along with it...and he was exactly right! Our weather was gorgeous and I was really panicking over nothing. I feel ya!

Our forecast said it was going to rain on our wedding day for an entire week. We woke up Saturday to a beautiful sunny dry sky and didn't get a drop of water all day. We were prepared for rain but so glad we didn't have to deal with it.

Our date is going back and forth between being predicted to be 85 (which is perfect because it would cool down to 75 or so by our sunset wedding) and 102 (which would be a deathly hot 90 degrees out at sunset). How are people still so bad at predicting the weather?!

To calm myself down, I think about how it will still be a lovely day even if we have to use the backup plan.

I've started checking, although I can't see up to my date yet and obviously it can change so much. It's looking really good for us at the moment (i'm sure I just jinxed it). We are having an outdoor ceremony/pictures and no real back up plan (yea, I know, this would freak most people out), but we'll wing it. We have indoor options and I'm okay getting wet for some fun photos (super casual wedding). But, I'm hopeful it'll be cloudy and we can get some lovely photos on the beach!

I was on weather apps alllllll day leading up to our wedding. I found accuweather to be a better predictor than weather channel. Rain chances changed every hour but our ceremony was sunny without a cloud in the sky. There were actually flurries on top of the mountain that morning.

I've heard it's more accurate about 3 days out.
