Weather Conditions On Your Wedding Day

The Bride, on July 22, 2019 at 6:57 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12
The morning of my wedding day it rained heavily and I was worried I wouldn't be able to have the outdoor ceremony that I truly wanted. Luckily, my ceremony didn't start until 6:30 PM and the rain had cleared by then. But is that a bad thing? In some cultures, rain is good luck as it symbolizes fertility and cleansing.

What is the predicted weather on your wedding day? Would you mind if it rained on your wedding day? Why or why not?

It didn't rain on mine but if it did I'd be sad because it was an outdoor ceremony

Well I picked an outdoor location so rain wouldn't be very fun! But they have a back up plan for that. My wedding is over a year out so well just have to see.
In October it could be a heat wave or freezing.

Did you have the option to have an indoor ceremony?

I've seen pictures where it rained during outdoor ceremonies and the maid of honor and best man or officiant held an umbrella over the bride and groom, beautiful. Of course, all the guests had umbrellas too.

October is a tricky month, I'm hoping you'll have the perfect Fall weather.

Lol I always say that “rain is good luck on your wedding day” is just something you tell brides to calm them down when they’re upset about the weather on their day! It’s a nice idea though

I’m not sure if there is going to be rain on my wedding day since it is still 3 months out. I really hope that it doesn’t rain since I really want an outside wedding and that’s what I have planned. We have precaution in case it does happen. Since we are planning our wedding in hurricane season, we rather be prepared.

My wedding is about a year out so I have nooo idea what the weather will be like. We originally wanted an outdoor ceremony, and one of the main reasons for our change to an indoor venue was weather. I just don’t want to deal with the anxiety/stress that will come with that knowing me. Plus the weather is way too unpredictable in New England. 😅

I completely understand. We got married at the end of March and the weather was all over the place.

Our ceremony will be outside. And the the reception will be both. Some activities outside on a patio and food and some tables inside to get.
