Wearing your dress all night? Second dress?

Ruth, on November 16, 2016 at 12:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 34

So I had originally thought that I wanted to wear my dress all night because, you know, it's the one day that you can.. but now I'm thinking about getting a second dress, a more casual one. My reception is going to end at 11 and I really want to dance my a** off and I don't think I'll do that with my dress. What are your thoughts? Are any of you wearing a second dress?

No way. You only get to wear it once, so enjoy it as long as u can! Work with the bustle as much as possible so it's not in the way too much.

I only want one! Maybe look for one with a removable skirt!

I'm wearing my wedding dress the whole day. I thought about wearing a second dress but then I was like "What am I thinking!?" Lol, I'll wear the heck out of my dress!

I'm wearing mine all night. You're going to have to use the jaws of death to get it off of me considering it's the most expensive thing I'll ever wear!

Definitely wearing my dress all night and still going to dance it up. Love my dress too much to take it off!!! We might have a bonfire pending the weather after the reception ends around 10:30. At that point if I feel like getting out of the dress I'll change into something comfy so my dress does not smell like bonfire but that's the only scenario I'll change out of it.

My SIL changed quickly after the ceremony. It was super hot and made perfect sense at the time. But she regrets doing that big time. She's still pretty sad that she only wore her dress for a little while.

I danced my butt off with my big ballgown on. I couldn't imaging having changed out of it.

I felt like a princess in my dress and did not want to change. The only thing I changed was my shoes. Try to break your shoes in, before the big day.

I love my dress and I'm wearing it as long as I can. I'm going to have a back up dress just in case. But I'll be in my dress at least for the cutting of the cake.

I plan on wearing mine all night and just changing my shoes. I don't wanna spend the money twice on a dress.

I'm wearing mine all night. I did buy flats to wear for dancing, though. Actually bought them on WW FB page!

I have a second dress, and I'm really excited about it! My mom really pushed for a 2nd because we bought the first one on a whim at DB on clearance. It was $300 and she said "I don't care if you don't even wear it, we're buying it!" Then I fell in love with a 2nd dress and now I have 2 that I love. If both hadn't been able to be purchased for around $1000 together I never would have gotten a second.

I plan on wearing mine all night, and I would kind of see it as a waste to spend money on 2 different dresses.

However, my friend had a very intimate wedding this summer at a bed and breakfast on a lake. After the ceremony and dinner we were jet skiing, playing yard games, making smores and lots and doing lots of drinking. She changed out of her ceremony dress and into a casual dress for obvious reasons.
