Wearing my wedding dress at our post-elopement reception?

Hi everyone so my fiancé and I plan on eloping in Banff, Canada next August and then a few weeks after hosting a reception at my parents’ house. One question I’m getting a lot from people is will I wear my wedding dress again for everyone to see since it’ll just be us 2 in Banff. I feel a little extra doing so, so I’m sort of on the fence. What are your guys’ thoughts on wearing the wedding dress again? I was planning to keep the event more on the casual side since it’s just at my parents’ place and not a true wedding reception. We are planning on 60 or so attending at the house. Thanks!!

    How "fancy" is your dress? Are you comfortable when you have it on? Honestly, I'd love to wear my dress again, so I probably would (and mine was a ballgown, so there ya go). If you don't want to wear it again, then wear a cute "wifey" shirt and jeans or a white sundress or whatever you feel comfortable in.

    So I haven’t actually gotten it yet BUT this is the style I want! So i guess not too dressy especially if I bustle it for the reception at home? I wanted to dress up for sure but not sure if rewearing my dress was considered too much Or maybe wear it for a bit then change?

    You would totally rock something like this (bustled, or have the train taken off) at your celebration! It's amazing Smiley smile Just make sure you're (reasonably) comfortable in it

    It seems like a great idea to wear the dress again. It is something you can only wear for wedding events.
