Hi! So I just got a message from a number saying they’re the bridal registry and we won a giveaway! I do recall signing up for a bridal expo and they said they got my information from there. But has anyone ever went to one of these? We already have our honeymoon booked but the wedding bands seem like a good deal.

It’s a common scam to get you hooked into low quality products or services that have numerous strings attached. Often you have to sit through long advertising spiels with no option to say no.

There was a recent thread on here about this same thing. The consensus seemed to be that either it’s a scam or was not worth it at all.

I'm pretty sure everyone "wins" this, which should tell you that it's just marketing and not actually a prize. Even if it isn't technically a scam and you do actually get some sort of product, what you get will not be worth the time or hassle.
