Whichever way you go, make sure both officiants are okay co-officiating. (?) I have a dear, dear friend from forever (52 yeas!) who is a justice of the peace in her home state. Unfortunately Florida won't recognize her as a legal performer of wedding ceremonies. It was super important to me to have her "up front" and part of my "I do'". I couldn't believe some of the officiants I contacted wouldn't let her be up there with them! Luckily I found an amazing person who not only said "sure" but then started planning the ceremony with my bff totally involved. So the officiant will do the "I do" parts, and my bff is performing a hand-fasting ceremony!!

In your situation, I would definitely include both officiants, especially if they are a part of your normal lives.

Thank you Pat! Good advice to make sure that they are okay co-officiating! I'm glad that things worked out for you. I like how you describe yourself as a sex senior hitting the isle for the third time. I'm also a senior and it's my second marriage. I'm getting married in July. This time I'm sure it's right!
