Was your proposal a surprise? Or did you see it coming?? 💍

I had a feeling for sure! He kept asking me if I was going to get my nails done for our trip, or at least put polish on them hahahaha! I didn't know the exact time that he was going to ask, so that WAS a surprise! He also had some of his family and our friends there to celebrate us as a surprise!

He set up a party at our house and had the kids do a show with love songs and at the end he proposed I loved it

I knew it was coming. He was acting all nervous we also had recently found out I was pregnant with our first child. He had talked about it before. He asked after we were done eating. I was in my first trimester of pregnancy so asking after I eat was not smart of him I almost threw up all over him. It make a hell of a story though.

We had friends over for dinner and a few drinks. We live in Bethlehem. Which is the Christmas city in PA, so there’s always a ton of lights and trees lit up. My friend asked to go for a walk to look at them and I figured why not! I put a hat on because I hadn’t washed my hair or done my nails. When we got to the tree we also got a picture and that’s when he pooped the question! Overlooking the south side of the city and the star of Bethlehem

We chose the ring together but I never knew when or where it was going to happen. We were at a the Grand Canyon celebrating a family reunion, towards the end of the day. It was hot & we (his 21 yr old son & I) were trying to get out of staying any longer- I said I’d take one for the team & fake a headache. He kept saying we had to go to the train station at the Grand Canyon for one last picture. SURPRISE!

Went on a family vacation to Jamaica in January 2020 and had not even the slightest idea! We went on a vacation a few years back to Punta Cana and took a picture of me walking ahead of him with him holding my hand, and he kept saying he wanted to do that again on this vacation. Was wondering what was taking so long with him taking the picture and turned around to see this, best moment of my life

I was surprised. We had talked about getting engaged but I still thought it was a while off since I didn’t think he had a ring yet.
He had texted me while I was at work on a Friday saying he wanted to get out of the house over the weekend and go to this botanical garden. Saturday morning comes and he’s rushing to get me out of the house because it was supposed to rain in the afternoon. (I was a bit grumpy because I didn’t understand why we had to leave that moment-I hadn’t even finished my coffee!) We were walking around and goofing off and occasionally stopping for me to take pictures. While taking this picture I hear “Well I guess this is as good a place as any”. I turn around like ???? And he’s down on one knee ❤️
Meanwhile behind him there was a mom with 2 kids trying to pull them back slowly to give us the moment 😂

He asked "why are you putting your hair up, put it down... you need it down"!!! hahahaha he never cares about my hair. i laughed and it made the proposal so much better!!

One of the best days of my life this far. I was completely suprised!. It was the weekend of my 30th birthday, and it was between my bestfriend, my fiance and myself trying to make our own plans for my birthday weekend. I wanted to getaway, my fiance planned a romantic dinner and my bestfriend wanted to do a brunch celebration with friends. Well because everyone so easily went with my plans I had no idea about the what was about to come. No one in my family new what he had planned. So we ended up going to Virginia beach for the weekend getaway at a amazing hotel ocean front suite and enjoyed the weekend and relaxed. Upon the last day of our stay the very morning 3 hours before of us checking out the hotel we had a brief moment in the room looking out at the ocean talking about our future very general. I was still dazing out the ocean while he left to use the bathroom and when he came back he talked about making this moment last with tears in his eyes, I was like "babe why are you crying?" then dropped to one knee. I was COMPLETELY SHOCKED! I cried so hard with joy for a min, messed up all my makeup. I couldn't believe what was happening...I swear all my stress of bad exes immediately lifted off my body to finally meet my husband! lol.My family and friends found out after. Long story short I messed up his original plans for dinner but he said he improvised to make sure I had no idea.

It was one random date day in November 2020. Honestly, not the most beautiful and everything seemed like it was going wrong that day on top of I was being super difficult about EVERYTHING! I woke up and decided I didn't want to wear makeup for this particular date day. I got the wrong order at brunch. We had to pick another date activity because we didn't reserve a spot (who knew everything needed a reservation - blah to covid). Then, to top things off we paid to go hang out on one of the many rooftops in Atlanta and it looked like it was going to rain about 45 minutes into our date. Luckily, my fiancée' (girlfriend at the time) hadn't decided how, but she knew that the day she proposed was the day...NO MATTER WHAT! My fiancée' asked another lesbian couple to take our photo in front of the beautiful skyline and before I knew it she dropped down to one knee and asked Will You Marry Me? The great part was she didn't tell anyone, including the couple she asked to take our photo. I was in disbelief, but so excited to say yes! The entire rooftop erupted in cheers and you can slightly hear our amateur photographer in the background of video! It was literally the MOST MAGICAL MOMENT!

My engagement was a complete surprise. We had just arrived in Colorado for a snowboarding trip for my 30th Birthday. One of my FH’s hobbies is photography and he had recently purchased a drone so he said he wanted to get a few pictures and videos on the way out to the resort. We stopped at Sapphire Point Overlook in Dillon, CO and hiked to the top. A family was up there trying to get the perfect picture so my FH took it for them in an effort to have the area to ourselves for what I thought was just regular drone footage. Once he got the drone up he dropped down on one knee while recording the entire thing. To say I was surprised is an understatement. He later told me many of my friends and family knew and he purchased the drone just for the occasion.

We had been living together for two years, adopted a dog together, and bought our house earlier that year so I definitely knew a proposal was inevitable as we already called ourselves house married. But when and where was totally a surprise. I thought it would happen at a later date just because we had spent so much money buying and totally renovating our house I had no clue he had already saved for a ring too.

Mine was kinda of both, around the holidays I would get all excited like maybe this is when he'll propose to me and he didn't. Then valentines day I'm like maybe he'll pop the question and then again didn't happen. So on my birthday/our 2nd anniversary I was like this is going to be it, this will be the day he asks. I walk in the house and see he got me a bunch of things for my birthday none of which were an engagement ring. We had dinner with his parents and my parents to celebrate my birthday so I thought. And after dinner my fiance walked to his room and comes back and got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was totally caught off guard and so excited.

I had a hunch because he was adamant that I mske reservations for dinner instead of having a get together at the house. Made sure I had my dress thay I had been dieing to wear.
I got my nails done because I knew. Lol

DH was squirrely for a MONTH.

We knew we wanted to get married in 2019, and Thanksgiving went past, Christmas went past.... I worked NYE, and flat out told my coworkers - either I'm getting engaged, or I'm burying a body.

Then we went to a party, and I proceeded to ask all my friends if he was setting me up... to the point where I got "scolded".

...yes, my friends set up a game so that DH could propose at the end.

It was a surprise for me. He planned a trip to Miami for our anniversary/my birthday but he usually does that every year so it didn't give me any hints. All of my coworkers thought that he would propose so I questioned it but I seen bags laying around my house (Bath and body works, department store bags etc) & it made me a little upset because I knew they were anniversary gifts but I thought how could he be so careless and ruin the surprise? Turns out he did it on purpose to throw me off because he was planning to propose on our anniversary date while we were at dinner lol. He brought gift bags and everything to dinner as if he was giving me gifts 🤣. Completely threw me off!

I had more than a hunch 😂 I’d been waiting long enough (he had already had the ring for over a year) so I made an executive decision and told his mom to make it happen. His mom and sister helped him plan it, so I didn’t know how he was going to do it. It was very sweet.

I had a hunch that it would happen some time in our near future given how in love we are and how long we have been together. But the way that it happened and when it happened and all the other details were a SURPRISE! I had no idea that he was going to propose on our anniversary or that he had the ring for almost a year already !!!! It was totally a hunch/surprise for me!
