Was your proposal a surprise? Or did you see it coming?? 💍

A total surprise! We had gone out of town to visit family for a "covid" wedding and he ended up proposing to me in my favorite place. Charleston, SC! He had gotten the ring a couple months prior and even made it through airport security without me having any clue at all. Best Day of My Life!

We had talked about it but in a jokingly way and then one day I was just grabbing clothes out the closet and then turned around and he was right there on one knee purposing to me. He said he wanted to do it when we were in New York but the Empire State Building was closed but I was in shock and it was just amazing 😁

I saw it coming. No, I didn't prep for it.

Didn't do a proposal, just talked about it - decided it was time and picked out a ring together and the rest is history.

I had a hunch he would because he told me he had a gift for me which was strange for him to just announce it lol. When he proposed though, I went deaf and dumb for about 2 mins while he waited for an answer 😂

My Fiancé had been together for 5 years before he proposed. We had been talking about wanting to settle down and get married for a few years now and we even had this running joke that he would not be able to surprise me with the proposal because I'd catch on pretty quickly if it was something out of the ordinary. Sadly, the pandemic hit and I felt like any possible engagement plans he had would have definitely been derailed and with that mindset, I figured he'd pop the question after the world returned back to normal. After a few months, Disney opened back up but with mask restrictions and being annual pass holders we didn't wait to book a day to return back to our favorite place. On the morning of September 26th, 2020, we got to Magic Kingdom, did a few rides, and walked around the park a bit until he made a suggestion to grab a drink at Cinderella's Castle. As we were walking down the path alongside the castle, he grabbed my hand and pointed to her wishing well, which I honestly did not even know existed but beautifully set in a cute little garden area with benches all around. He asked me if I wanted to take a picture and I agreed but mentioned that we didn't have someone around to take a picture of us. Suddenly he sees a Disney Photographer and waves him over. We assume our normal "picture positions" and take a few shots - after 3 or 4 photos my Fiancé asks the Photographer to take just a few of me alone. He steps behind me and at this moment, he's trying to get the ring box out of his back pocket where he'd be keeping it the entire day! The photographer (who was in on the proposal plans the whole time) waves him back in the shot and at that moment I turn around to grab his hand and he's down on 1 knee. I was completely taken by SURPRISE! Underneath the mask, my jaw is pretty much to the floor in complete awe. I #JustSaidYes with tears in my eyes and a million emotions running through me. My Fiancé managed to not only take me by complete surprise, like he always knew he would, but proposed with the most beautiful ring, at our favorite place, with the best candid pictures I've ever seen. It will truly be a day that I will never, ever forget. February 27th, 2022, here we come! @weddingwire.

I knew it was coming, a month or so prior he started asking questions like how to ask my parents permission, and if I'd be OK if he did it while we still live at his parents house, and I heard rumblings from his friends that he was talking about it. He tried to throw me off by starting a fight that he wasn't ready to propose but that just made me even more skeptical since we don't fight ever lol.

He proposed Christmas day, and a few days before he let it slip that he was doing it, but was making me wait for it. We both got COVID a week before Christmas, so I couldn't got see my nail guy and bought glue on nails and poured all the purple shampoo I could on my overgrown hair hoping to not look like a mess.

I knew it was coming because I accidentally came across the order confirmation email but I'll never tell. Well, maybe not right away.

I didn't know it was gonna be the day it was.. We spoke about it but I wasn't expecting it to happened that quick.. But I was excited

I was totally surprised! My family had rented out a house in St Michael’s for the weekend and my entire family knew that my fiancé was planning on proposing to me during family pictures (so we were very well coordinated). I had no idea because I had always assumed it was going to be after I graduated and after we had moved out, but it was the absolute best surprise ❤️ We share the day with his Aunt, who was celebrating her 50th anniversary that day he proposed

He left the receipt to have the ring cleaned in my car lol

I actually did not see it coming. We were in the middle of an argument and I was going to leave him. But he kept yelling "I LOVE YOU, YOU WANT ME TO PROVE IT?" Then he got down on one knee and said " Tanayzia I love you, Will you marry me?" I was in complete shock but I do love him and I never thought he would do this so I said yea and we cried in each others arms. The ring he gave me was a ring I saw at the first job we work at together almost a year before. It was nothing special it just caught my eye and I never said anything to him.

My fiancé asked me for my ring size about 3 weeks before Valentine's Day... but I kept telling myself to not get my hopes up and then on Valentine's Day 2021 he asked and I said yes... right after I said "Is this for real??!!" SO happy!!! No prep no polish... Now there's polish though!!!

Sort of both! We planned on getting married and I started planning before it happened. I even chose my ring...I just didn't know he got it without me knowing and planned the hike with our friends (we're Coloradoans). I honestly thought I was tagging along for a Sunday morning hike, but he popped the question in front of Horsetooth Falls, hired a photographer and all! So cute!

Amazon almost ruined the proposal for me. A couple days before it happened I got one of those "recommended items" emails and it was just fake rose petals. Good thing I shop for crafty stuff a lot, I didn't really think too much about it... until the proposal and I walked into my apartment covered in purple fake rose petals, then it hit me.
