Want fh to do the garter thing but not toss it?

The group of guys who would ultimately be catching the garter are my dad (divorced and now with a girlfriend), my dads ex wife’s boyfriend, a family friend who isn’t married, and my bridesmaids boyfriend. Is that an odd group to throw the garter to? What would you guys do? I guess he could always go find it and take it off later on when it’s just us...

    You can skip the garter toss overall! loads of people now no longer do the garter toss

    I've always thought the garter toss is awkward and uncomfortable no matter who's in the crowd. I'm not planning to do it at all.

    I agree with PPs, I would skip it. The only thing that's more awkward than the traditional garter toss is to have your FH go up your dress in front of your friends and family to get your garter and then just...not even do anything with it.

    I'd skip the garter toss for MANY other reasons, but this just gives you another reason to skip it. If you want to wear one for your husband to find later when it's just the two of you, you could still wear one but not do a garter toss

    Skip it entirely. Most weddings don't have tosses and they aren't missed.

    I went to a wedding where the groom threw the garter attached to a football and a friend caught it. Then the guy didn't put it on the bride and just gave it back to the groom and kept the football. I thought it was all something that could have been skipped, but that is an option
