Walking Down the Aisle Song Help

Samantha, on September 30, 2019 at 7:46 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 26
For those of you walking down the isle to a song other than the “here comes the bride” song, are you using only the instrumental version, or the version with words? Also, is your bridal party walking down to a different song than you are? If so how did you decide where to start the song you have chosen to walk down the isle to?

Which song have you chosen to walk down the isle to? Is your bridal party walking down to the same song?

All of our processional songs will be instrumental. Everyone else will walk to one song and I will have my own. We’re just starting from the beginning, I feel like in most instrumentals (forgive my ignorance when it comes to music terminology) the best part is where the intro leads into the first verse. Is it still called a verse if there’s no words? Idk.

My bridal party will walk down to one song, however someone will be singing to the instrumental as they come down. I will walk to another song, that another singer we hired will be singing, however she will sing along with her guitar. If your bridal party walks a good pace or certain rhythm, you may not need to start the song at a certain point, the entire song might play as everyone walks down.

I didn’t even think to have a different song for the party and myself, but I also have a smaller wedding party. We are walking down to “Picture You” by Mumford and Sons. It starts out more mellow and the timing works out perfectly where I will walk down right as the chorus picks up so it is more of an entrance.

Also, we will have a local university student playing piano while the guests are arriving and it will change to that song with lyrics only for when we walk down. This way, we can still incorporate instrumental into our ceremony.

Only Hope instrumental. I’m going to start it at the beginning having bridesmaids enter and flower/ring then at high notes I’ll walk. I just like the easy to enter to flow of the song
