Walking Down the Aisle - Pace?

I've been wondering about this for awhile, after watching the wedding videos of others and noticing that most people walk at a brisk pace down the aisle. I've been wondering about this for awhile, after watching the wedding videos of others and noticing that most people walk at a brisk pace down the aisle.

Isn't it supposed to be slower than a regular walk? At least for the bride?

Maybe I'm just stuck on the scene from "Father of the Bride" where the little boy is practicing in their hallway and saying "right, together, left, left, together, right" Smiley xd

Will guests become impatient if I take my time getting to my groom and just revel in that moment? I'm personally not planning on speed walking down the aisle but I see that a lot in the wedding videos I watch...it's confusing to me.

Clarification please!

It feels weird to walk like that and feels "too slow" but it actually looks very graceful and doesn't come across to others as too slow at all.

I suggest practicing to the song when you have the time. If you know you are walking 30-40 feet then put the song on as you start walking and see where the song ends by the time you get to the full length and then adjust your speed accordingly. I am walking to Can' Help Falling In Love, sung by a friend in the way that Haley Reinhart sings it.
