Walk down the aisle

Tristen, on August 3, 2019 at 12:49 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
My dad passed away when I was 15 and I’m getting married next year. I want to ask my grandfather (his father) to walk me down the aisle I want to do it in a sweet and sentimental way. Any ideas on how to do this? He also lives in another state so I don’t see him much. Was thinking of sending him something to ask

Is it possible to visit him in person? If not, perhaps someone could help you Skype or Facetime with him? You could send him a package but instruct him not to open it until the video chat? I'd send something sentimental, something to snack on, and something for one of his hobbies that's personalized.

I think that wonderful that you’re going to ask your grandfather. However, I wouldn’t worry about doing anything real extravagant to ask him. He’s from a different time, before this big, fancy asking people to be in your wedding trend started. I’m sure he would be equally as happy if you talk to him over the phone and tell him what you mean to him. Or maybe write a nice card/letter for him to get in the mail since he loves far. As long as you tell him how you feel, he’s going to be ecstatic! Good luck and congrats.

I think a nice heartfelt letter or card would make his day!

    Hi there Tristen!

I'm sure he will be so proud to walk you down the aisle Smiley heart

I love the idea of sending him a card or gift and asking him to wait to open it until you are both on the phone or facetime. That way you can enjoy firsthand his reaction.

I saw the below idea on Pinterest and thought it was so sweet. Perhaps you could send him some personalized cuff links he could wear on the wedding day? I'm sure there is a seller on Etsy who does something similar Smiley smile
