Waffle House Catering

Future Mrs.P, on January 28, 2016 at 8:34 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 24

My FH just texted me and said he wants Waffle House to cater our wedding. Why when I googled they actually do bring a truck out to cater events . The food options aren't wedding -dinner type foods. LOL

Here is a couple that actually did this : http://southernweddings.com/2014/12/04/waffle-house-wedding-by-cwf-photography/

LOL that's hilarious. I'd say only if you're doing other food trucks as well though.

I would love it as a late night snack. For my entree, no.

Is there a question in there? I think it's a cute idea, but like Delisa, I'd think of it as more of a late night snack than the meal.

I agree with @Delisa. My first thought was how awesome this would be as a late night snack. But I would never want that as my dinner.

This is too funny! I'd definitely love it for a snack/appetizer maybe.

Wow. Did not know they catered. I think it would only work with 1 or 2 other food trucks for an afternoon wedding. I don't think it would work for an evening wedding unless you do it's a late night snack.

I'm not really considering it guys, he calls his self helping me. He loves Waffle House and would eat it everyday if he could. Just thought it was kinda cute but hilarious at the same time.

Is this a joke? Maybe as a late night snack before everyone leaves, but no.

I would LOVE to have that as a late night snack. Though no waffle houses in MI. It is the best drunk food lol

I think it's kind of hilarious, but not as the entree....LOL...

One of the upscale delis in NY has a wood burning pizza truck that they bring to weddings to serve as appetizers. It's built in a 1957 pickup truck, and it's the coolest thing ever!

I also agree with Delisa. I think it'd be great as a late night snack but I don't really feel like eating waffles as my entree while I'm wearing a cocktail dress. If your having kids at the wedding I feel like this could also be asking for some sticky fingers. Unless you're having a brunch wedding I'd avoid this as your entree, or at least have other options such as additional food trucks.

I'm not a huge fan of WH, I only eat the Hashbrowns or Grit Bowl. I never had a waffle from Waffle House

I would say have a regular "wedding" dinner and maybe do this as a late night snack? People will love it like that, but not so much as their main course

edit: Also, Waffle House does have the best waffles. Can't blame the man for trying lol

I've actually seen the truck. They have it in parades down here, but I didn't know you can actually get them to come cater. It's kinda funny.
