Vows

I think ours were 200-400 words and probably 2 minutes or so each. The rest of our ceremony was really short thanks to an awesome officiant who worked with us to keep the tone consistent.

I had wrote a rough draft for mine and I'm around 120 words. I read it aloud and it was about 35 seconds. When I talked to my FH about writing our vows, we wanted to keep it short and sweet. I don't know if he's thought about his yet but I'm pretty happy with mine.

My wife went with traditional Celtic vows, I wrote my own with inspiration from book of Ruth 1:16 from Torah/old tesitmate. Make it from the heart and you can't go wrong!

When we met the officiant and I said I wanted to write our own vows FH went uh what? Lol I caught him off gaurd on that one lol. But this whole time he keeps saying his job his food and cake taster so I'm gonnaake him do a little work lol

Mine were 218 words and H was around 197 I believe. I did time mine but I can't remember now. So I think your length is good.

Second the "time it" method - it's helped me write drafts of mine so far! Don't worry about the length - obviously you don't want to drone on forever, but you want to make sure everything you wanted to say gets out.
