I would do something casual but catered, like BBQ or BWW like you said. Then there is WAY less stress overall and the food is typically better. You can get BBQ catered from restaurants for as low as $10 per person. If you wanted appetizers too, you could get those party trays from Costco or other grocery stores to have out.

I agree with PP, I would have it catered and save yourself the stress.

If you can afford it, cater it! You don't want that added stress.

Definitely hire a caterer! Your idea of BWW is also great! But making the food yourself would be super stressful with everything else you would have to do.
