I'm sure this conversation has been had several times, but I couldn't find something super recent discussing all four of these. I'm sure this conversation has been had several times, but I couldn't find something super recent discussing all four of these. I am trying to keep the cost of the invites down as low as possible since I am over budget on basically everything. However, I want the invitations to be nice and not cheap looking. Minted seems to be the most expensive and similar to getting it done through an invitation company in person and Vistaprint seems to be the cheapest, but I am having a hard time choosing between these four. Anyone know what the best sales for each site is and if I should wait to see if something better comes along? How often are the sales for each site? Anyone recommend one over the other?

Thanks!

This all depends on YOU. Are you artsy? How much do you really care?

I am a Graphic Designer. I LOVED using VistaPrint, but it's because I knew how to get the most out of their products. If you are someone that wouldn't see the dot ratio to know a different method should have been chosen it's a great choice.

Vistaprint vs Zazzle vs Shutterfly vs Minted; to be honest, I've never used Zazzle. If I've received invitations/other products where someone used Zazzle it wasn't marked and they didn't brag. Shutterfly seems to be the most popular for people who use photos- I dislike the way photos turn out in print unless it's a professional printer (they mix the colors and you don't notice the dot ratio if they do it well). Minted I have seen a few they are good too, I know one person who complained because it was too much for them... photos don't come out as well as shutterfly (IMHO).The deciding factor for me was the software on the site, and the one I thought I would use the most products for- meant staying with VistaPrint. I didn't want to set up a new account for anything else, even if shutterfly pictures may turn out slightly better the difference didn't make up for my pocket book. My advise, if you want pictures- don't use textured paper, use a higher the weight paper. If you aren't artistic I can verify that VistaPrint now has customer service that can design prints for you. I can't say how much they cost. I am lucky I have two local print shops in my area that do a wonderful job for a low price. I only have the account because I'm super picky and it's all done at my leisure for no extra composition costs.

I recommend greeting island for the templates can pay 6 dollars to download or i edit out the tiny watermark and then ordering through printrunner.com.... I planned my aunts wedding and ordered 150 invites and 150 rsvps for around 60 bucks and they did not look cheap by any means. Everything goes up in price when you mention wedding so i have saved her alot of money by ordering invites, programs, and rsvps as business cards and flyers.
