Vistaprint custom invitations

kayr86, on June 3, 2013 at 10:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

I am looking to do custom invitations on Vistaprint but I am getting overwhelmed. Can you change the color of the paper or are you only allowed to upload images? Any tips would be great! Thanks!

When I did mine, I did the entire invite in another program (in my case, powerpoint). Background and all. So I didn't care that the background was white, because I was 'covering' it anyway.

Some of the pre-made ones, you can change the colors, but I didn't really play with that much since I just designed my own from scratch.

Welcome to WW, Kayla! You can't change the actual paper color, but you can change the background color. Let's say you wanted a mint background -- search for mint or green images in the VP image library (these will be free for you to use), crop to the part of the image you want to use (so if you only want the color, no other design, crop a square of solid color) and stretch it to fit your invitation size.

Are you using a Groupon? Some of the ladies on the boards have saved over 80% using a VP Groupon with additional discounts.

I hope you'll stick around and update your avatar (the rings) to ANY unique image from Google we can more easily remember later. This post tell you how to do that: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html
