Hey everyone! Hope your planning is going smoothly.
Last night my fiance mentioned he had thought of playing me down the aisle. He would end his piece as I approached, hand his violin off to his brother (who is also a violinist and knows how to handle it because those instruments are very expensive). Then he would greet me and my father and escort me to the aisle.
My parents loved this idea. He said he had thought of it a while ago but didn't want to upstage my entrance. I actually think it's very sweet and unexpected for our guests. My Mom asked if it would take away from him watching me walk down but he is able to play and look. The more I think about it, I can see how special a memory we would have and it really would connect us so I don't feel it would detract from me. This is, after all, a celebration of us.
Anyone have any thoughts? Not looking to be talked in or out of it- more just curious how you would feel as a guest attending.
