No offense to anyone who has a new ring, but we could not find one single new style ring we liked. Can’t stand the halo style in particular which seems to be all the popular rage.

We kept gravitating to estate pieces and landed on a beautiful platinum ring, transitional round cut, .75 ct, made in circa 1940. I love its character and elegance. 😍

    My ring was my MIL’s originally. Sapphire with tiny diamonds surrounding - she was married in the early 80’s, not long after Princess Di with her sapphire.

    I love vintage rings! I wish my mom would have let me have my grandmothers ring which is beautiful. Ironically the one DH picked out is quite similar with the sidework on the ring. I'm also not a big halo fan so I'm so glad he went with this ring since my mom will hold on to that ring until she dies.

    I have a new ring, but I made it very clear while he was in the shopping stage...no halo!

    I wish we had a family heirloom to pass down but no such luck.

    I have a new ring but my parents gave FH a loose diamomd that was my papaw's to use as the centerpiece.
    I love vintage rings too, they're breathtaking! I also feel there was a lot more intricate craftsmanship that went into those.

    Mine is FH’s great great grandmothers, it’s over 100 years old. Like you, I also dislike the newer halo styles. I picked out an antique ruby and diamond band to go with it.

    I have a new ring made out of old rings! My fiancé knew I’d always wanted my moms sapphire from her old engagement ring my dad gave her. So six months before he officially asked me to marry him he asked for her ring and his moms old ring and had a jeweler make my ring out of both their rings!

    My mom let me wear it for the ceremony and legit took it back as soon as it was done lol. I wish I had gotten a picture of it

    My ring is 100 years old. I absolutely love it. I told my husband I wanted vintage and boy, did he deliver! Unfortunately, I had to have my wedding band made To match some of the elements/material of my engagement ring, but it’s inspired from my e-ring.

    My FH got his from his Grandmother, and we hope to keep it passed down in the family for generations.
