I’m not wearing my moms (we have totally different styles) but your dress would be perfect to add pockets in! The dress I bought has pockets and it’s my favorite part of the dress. You could even make your garter out of the sleeves. I love when people are able to wear family dresses.

My mom had a very similar dress I wanted to wear!!! But she is about 6 inches shorter and weighed about 40 lbs less when she got married so it just wasn't feasible. The alterations were gonna be soooo expensive and I didn't want to alter the integrity of the dress that much. Maybe my daughter in a long long time haha.

I love this! I toyed around with wearing my moms, but didn’t want something as traditional.

I wore my grandmas from 1952. My mom, 2 aunts, sister, and cousin have also worn it.

I'm wearing my grandmother's wedding dress from the 1950's, just like I've wanted to since I was 5! I just got engaged this summer, and finally tried it on for the first time - it fits perfectly! Going to get it cleaned, and still trying to decide if I want to make any alterations/updates
