Viewing party or not?

I feel like this is something we would maybe do with our parents before posting on social media, but otherwise nah. With the internet and social media sites now most people will see them on say Facebook, or I know my photographer is leaving out cards at the reception on how to view the photos once they're ready by signing up for an email alert.

I've never heard of a viewing party.

Weird, never heard of it. I hear viewing and think of a funeral :-/

I've heard of it but it was just called dinner and they'll be watching the wedding video. I was all in for dinner but when they mentioned the video (in which I was the MOH from a demanding bride), I hard passed. I lived that shit longer than the one night those dinner guests will see. I needed some rest, relaxation, and relief that the wedding duties (yes, I had more duties than I'd like to name) were done.

It's like people can just never, ever get enough attention.

A friend invited me over and some other people to watch the wedding video and we ended up fast forwarding rough most of it and just hanging out for most of the night. It's definitely not needed and I think most people don't want to watch it

Have it The groomens actually suggested a viewing gathering and the bridesmaids suggested a potluck. So we'll be having food and drinks with our wedding party! I didn't have anyone at my wedding ask me about it or expect one. Just my wedding party a couple weeks after, because everyone wants to see it.
