My wife and I got married in June and we went with a vendor on here with great reviews. Part of the package included a videographer. Well June 20th we were told that they were waiting on usb drives that they ordered and once they came in we would get in 2 weeks.. never heard anything so we email them in August to see when we could expect the usb drive with all of our raw footage. They email back and say they will find out but think it was shipped. Note no email was sent saying it was sent and no tracking numbers. So today we get an email stating the videographer had deleted our footage to make room for other weddings. And then they offered a 100 dollar refund which to me is just and insult. We are in disbelief and I personally have tried to reach out to the owner with no response yet. Has anyone been through this that could offer any advice.

Absolutely unacceptable. They need to refund you the whole amount of service. No excuses or exceptions.

i am so so so sorry this happened to you! how awful!

I’m so sorry this happened to you... because it happened to us too and it’s absolutely horrible! We did at least receive a highlight reel, but made sure to be explicit in our contract and all correspondence that the raw footage was what was most important to us. I’ll definitely be filing in small claims court if ours isn’t resolved though.
I was honestly most put off by learning that they don’t back up their footage, like if I had known this I probably wouldn’t have booked with them because that’s just unprofessional-like why if their computer crashed or something and we weren’t able to receive anything- what then? I’m truly just in shock that there are multiple videographers that engage in this practice!
